## Exploding Kittens NSFW Edition

Our rating: 9.0 out of 10.

Best for: Adults-only game nights that want fast chaos

Exploding Kittens is basically Russian roulette with cards, and the NSFW Edition swaps in artwork that was too crude for the original family-friendly version. It is the cheapest way to add explosive, mean-spirited fun to an adult table, and that low price makes it an easy add-on rather than a big commitment.

Rounds run about 15 minutes for 2 to 5 players, so it slots in as a filler between longer games or carries a whole evening of friendly betrayal on its own. The rules are simple enough to explain in under a minute: draw cards, avoid the exploding one, backstab your friends to survive.

The catch is that it is strictly ages 17 and up, so this is not the pick for a mixed family table, and its scope is smaller than a full-blown party game with hundreds of cards. Judge it for what it is, a quick, gleefully mean filler, and it delivers exactly that.

## magilano SKYJO

Our rating: 10.0 out of 10.

Best for: Families and mixed groups who want one more round

SKYJO is the quiet sleeper of this trio, a flip-and-collect numbers game where you race to score as few points as possible over several rounds. It is the only one of the three that does not need the group sorted by age or appetite for crude humour first.

The rules take about a minute to learn: flip cards, swap for lower numbers, try to end each round with the smallest total. That simplicity hides a surprising amount of tension, and the just-one-more-round pull is real once a group gets going. It scales cleanly from kids learning to add to adults getting quietly competitive over the score pad.

The honest tradeoff is that it is less raucous than the adult party decks here, and a numbers theme is never going to have much spectacle. What it lacks in flash it makes up for in how often it actually gets played.
