# Fitbit Charge 6 vs Fitbit Inspire 3

Both are picks from our guide: Best Smartwatches & Fitness Trackers (https://omorp.com/guides/watches/best-smartwatches).

## Specs head to head

| Spec | Fitbit Charge 6 | Fitbit Inspire 3 |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Exercise modes | 40-plus | 20-plus |

## Fitbit Charge 6

Our rating: 8.0 out of 10.

Best for: Phone-free workouts with built-in GPS

The Fitbit Charge 6 is the sweet spot in the Fitbit lineup, and it is the pick we would actually buy for ourselves. Built-in GPS means you can map runs and rides without dragging your phone along, and 40-plus exercise modes cover most training styles you would actually use week to week.

It adds real Google integration, Maps, Wallet, and YouTube Music controls, plus the ability to read your heart rate off compatible gym machines like treadmills and ellipticals, a genuinely useful trick during a workout. Stress, sleep, and Daily Readiness scores carry over from the rest of the Fitbit line, so you are not giving anything up from the Inspire 3.

It is still a tracker rather than a full app platform, and the band-style display stays smaller than a real smartwatch screen. For the price, though, it is a real step up without crossing into smartwatch territory.

## Fitbit Inspire 3

Our rating: 8.0 out of 10.

Best for: Simple, affordable wellness tracking

The Fitbit Inspire 3 is the easy on-ramp to fitness tracking, and it covers the basics without overwhelming you. It handles 24/7 heart rate, 20-plus exercise modes, and a Daily Readiness Score that tells you when to push a workout or take a rest day, all from a slim band you genuinely barely notice on your wrist.

Stress management tools, SpO2 readings, and sleep tracking round out a wellness picture that feels useful rather than gimmicky, and it works with recent iOS and Android phones, so it is not locked to one ecosystem.

The honest limitation is right there in the name: this is a tracker, not a full smartwatch, so there is no built-in GPS for phone-free runs and app or notification features stay basic. For around a hundred dollars, though, it nails the fundamentals better than most bands at this price.
