## LG UltraGear 27GS95QE

Our rating: 8.6 out of 10.

Best for: A PC gamer playing fast shooters or racing games at 1440p who wants OLED contrast without paying for 4K.

The UltraGear 27GS95QE is the step up for anyone who games more than they work. It uses an LG WOLED panel, so every pixel makes its own light and switches off for black. LG rates the contrast at 1,500,000:1 and the response time at 0.03ms gray to gray, and at 240Hz motion is far clearer than on the Dell.

The resolution is 2560 x 1440, which is the practical choice for high frame rates: a mid-range graphics card can push 1440p toward 240 frames per second, where 4K would need a flagship card. It is certified G-Sync Compatible and FreeSync Premium Pro. LG lists 275 nits typical brightness with up to 1000 nits for small HDR highlights, and the screen keeps a matte anti-glare coating.

The trade-offs come with OLED. Static elements such as taskbars and HUDs carry a burn-in risk over years of heavy use. The panel is 26.5 inches measured diagonally, despite the 27 in the name. WOLED subpixels can show colored fringes on small text, so this is a weaker document monitor than the Dell. Our tracked price since Aug 12 has run from $639 to $679.

## MSI MPG 321URXW QD-OLED

Our rating: 9.0 out of 10.

Best for: A buyer with a high-end graphics card who wants one 32-inch screen for 4K gaming, HDR films and laptop work over USB-C.

The MPG 321URXW is the monitor that removes the usual choice between sharpness and speed. It pairs a 31.5-inch 3840 x 2160 Quantum Dot OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response: as sharp as the Dell and as fast as the LG.

Color is the other upgrade. MSI rates the panel at 10-bit with 99% DCI-P3 coverage and Delta E of 2 or lower, wide enough for HDR video and photo work, and it carries DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. The ports make it a laptop dock too: USB-C with 90 W power delivery, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4a and a KVM switch for sharing one keyboard and mouse.

MSI covers OLED burn-in under a 3-year warranty and adds OLED Care 2.0 software to reduce image retention. The limits are practical. Driving 4K at 240 frames per second takes a top-tier graphics card, and most games will run well below that. QD-OLED panels look grayer in a brightly lit room than in a dim one. Our tracked price since June 26 has run from $731.99 to $899.99.
