# MAONO DGM20W vs MAONO PD300X

Both are picks from our guide: Best MAONO Microphones: PD200X, PD300X, PD100X and the Wireless Ones Compared (https://omorp.com/guides/audio/best-maono-microphones).

## MAONO DGM20W

Our rating: 7.8 out of 10.

Best for: A couch, a treadmill or a standing desk where a cable to the PC is in the way.

The MAONO DGM20W removes the one thing a desk mic cannot hide, the cable. A small USB-C receiver plugs into the PC, or into a phone, and the mic runs on its own battery for a full session. The capsule is the same condenser as the DGM20, so the same room caveat applies.

What makes it the safer wireless pick is volume: more than 6,000 ratings at 4.5, which for a no-cable mic from a value brand means the link and the battery hold up. The receiver shares the 2.4 GHz band with headset dongles and wireless mice, so keep it on the far side of the PC from those.

If the room is noisy, the PD100W is the dynamic version of the same idea for a few dollars more.

## MAONO PD300X

Our rating: 8.3 out of 10.

Best for: A deeper voice, or a streamer who wants the step above the PD200X without the PD400X price.

The MAONO PD300X sits between the PD200X and the PD400X: the same dynamic rejection of keyboard and room, the same USB-C and XLR outputs, and a larger capsule that fills in the low end on a deep voice. It records at 24-bit/192kHz over USB, which matters less than the capsule and more than the marketing suggests.

It keeps the tap-to-mute cap and the Maono Link EQ and limiter, and it adds a headphone jack for zero-latency monitoring. Owners rate it 4.5 across about 350 reviews, a smaller sample than the PD200X but the same pattern of remarks: quiet over XLR on a weak interface, excellent over USB.

Pick it over the PD200X if you monitor through the mic or your voice sits low; pick the PD200X if neither applies.
