The unusual part at this price is the software. NexiGo ships digital pan, tilt and zoom controls, so you can crop into the wide sensor and set your framing once rather than repositioning the camera. There is a physical privacy cover on a slider and a standard 1/4 inch tripod thread under the clip, so it mounts to something other than a monitor.

The cuts show up in three places. Low light gets noisy quickly, because a 1/2.9 inch sensor has very little area to gather with, and the auto-exposure hunts when someone walks past a window. Focus is fixed, so it is sharp at typical sitting distance and soft if you lean in to show something to the camera. And the wide lens bends straight lines near the frame edges, which is visible on a bookshelf or a door frame behind you.

The Meet 2 is the pick where the image changes rather than the resolution number. A 1/2 inch sensor behind an f/1.8 lens gathers several times the light of a budget webcam sensor, and that is what a dim afternoon actually needs. It shoots 4K at 30fps or 1080p at 60fps when you want smoother motion.

Phase-detection autofocus is the second real upgrade. It measures distance directly rather than hunting for maximum contrast, so it snaps to you when you lean forward instead of pulsing in and out. The AI framing crops within the 4K sensor to keep you centered, with upper body, close up and group modes, and gesture control so you can lock framing or zoom without touching the keyboard.

The limits are honest ones. The framing crops digitally rather than moving, so it works within the frame and stops at its edges: this is not the camera for someone who walks around. The 79-degree field of view frames one person well and cannot fit two on a sofa. The dual microphones are acceptable for a call and no better. And the framing, gesture and beauty features all depend on OBSBOT's software running, which is another background application and another thing to update.
