Editor's note
If you loved the smaller Corinthian but wanted the deeper, slower notes, this is the size that gives you that low resonant tone.
Why we picked it
Best for: A buyer with a large garden, acreage or a covered pergola who wants a deep tone that carries across the property.
The same six notes as the 30-inch on 1.5-inch tubes up to 27 3/4 inches long, for a slower, deeper voice. Budget for an 11 lb load on the hook.
What we like
- + Deep, long-sustaining tone from 1.5-inch tubes up to 27 3/4 in long
- + Same key as the 30-inch, so the two can hang together
- + Center-pinned, powder-coated build made for year-round outdoor use
- + Carries across a large property where a smaller chime is lost
Watch outs
- - $313 is more than twice the 30-inch for the same notes
- - 11 lb needs a beam, joist or proper bracket to hang safely
- - Loud enough in wind to become a neighbor problem on a small lot
- - 50-inch drop and wide swing need open space around it
