Why we picked it
Best for: Groups of 2 to 4 adults, or solo players, who want a deep engine-builder for a two-hour game night.
208 project cards and 17 corporations mean no two games build the same engine, for 1 to 5 players including a solo mode.
What we like
- + 208 project cards and 17 corporations give huge replay variety
- + Plays 1 to 5, with a solo mode that is a full game rather than an afterthought
- + Shared terraforming tracks give the whole table a common clock
- + A wide expansion line (Prelude, Venus Next and others) adds options without replacing the base
Watch outs
- - Regularly runs past the listed 120 minutes with new or five-player groups
- - Thin player boards let cubes shift when the table is bumped
- - Dense card text makes the first game slow
- - Early generations can feel uneventful
