Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai vs Roborock Saros 20

Two of our picks from Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos in 2026, compared side by side on the specs and trade-offs that actually matter.

Short answer

Between the Roborock Saros 20 and the Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai, we recommend the Roborock Saros 20 ($1599.99 when we checked it on 2026-10-19) as the better robot vacuum and mop combos in 2026 for most people. Homes with raised thresholds, low sofas and long-haired pets, where cheaper robots get stuck or leave rooms unreached. The Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai ($849.99 when we checked it on 2026-10-26) still makes sense if mostly hard-floor homes with kitchens and entryways that get spills, and furniture that sits higher than 4.5 inches off the floor.

Our take on each

Budget Pick★ 7.2

Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai

Best for: Mostly hard-floor homes with kitchens and entryways that get spills, and furniture that sits higher than 4.5 inches off the floor.

The Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai is a mopping robot first. Instead of spinning pads it uses a 10.6-inch microfiber roller that is rinsed and wrung on every rotation, so the floor only meets clean water, and the roller pushes outward by about 1.6 inches to reach baseboards. A camera with a green light picks out spills and dried stains and sends the robot back for repeat passes.

It is our budget pick only because the price fell. Dyson lists it at $1,199, and we tracked it at $849.99 on Oct 19, 2026, the cheapest robot in this guide by about $330.

The weaknesses are real. At 4.33 inches tall it will not fit under many sofas and beds the Roborock clears. Published reviews describe the roller lifting on rugs but dropping early at the rug edge, leaving fringe damp, and stubborn stains still needing a hand finish. The retailer rating of 3.0 across 84 reviews is the lowest here. The dock holds up to 100 days of dry debris, washes the roller in 140°F water and dries it with warm air, so the upkeep side is solid.

Premium Pick★ 9.0

Roborock Saros 20

Best for: Homes with raised thresholds, low sofas and long-haired pets, where cheaper robots get stuck or leave rooms unreached.

The Roborock Saros 20 is the pick when the floor plan is the hard part. Its AdaptiLift chassis raises the body to climb double-layer thresholds up to 3.46 inches, which covers the door strips and rug transitions that stop most robots. At 3.13 inches tall it is the slimmest robot here by more than an inch, so it reaches under beds and sofas the Dyson cannot.

Roborock rates the motor at 36,000 Pa, double the Dyson figure, with a dual anti-tangle system for long hair. Navigation pairs 3D time-of-flight sensors with an RGB camera for obstacle avoidance, and a FlexiArm pushes the side brush and mop into corners.

The RockDock washes the dual spinning mops in 212°F water, dries them, and empties the robot. The mops detach and stay in the dock for vacuum-only runs. The costs are real: $1,599.99 at our last check, the top of a $1,299.99 to $1,599.99 range, and a rated runtime of 180 minutes against the Dyson's 200. It also has the most retailer reviews of the three, 4,507 at a 4.2 average.
