Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai vs Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal

Two of our picks from Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos in 2026, compared side by side on the specs and trade-offs that actually matter.

Short answer

Between the Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal and the Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai, we recommend the Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal ($1179.99 when we checked it on 2026-10-19) as the better robot vacuum and mop combos in 2026 for most people. Pet owners with mixed carpet and hard floors on one level who want the base to handle the mop pad for weeks at a time. The Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai ($849.99 when we checked it on 2026-10-26) still makes sense if mostly hard-floor homes with kitchens and entryways that get spills, and furniture that sits higher than 4.5 inches off the floor.

Our take on each

Budget Pick★ 7.2

Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai

Best for: Mostly hard-floor homes with kitchens and entryways that get spills, and furniture that sits higher than 4.5 inches off the floor.

The Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai is a mopping robot first. Instead of spinning pads it uses a 10.6-inch microfiber roller that is rinsed and wrung on every rotation, so the floor only meets clean water, and the roller pushes outward by about 1.6 inches to reach baseboards. A camera with a green light picks out spills and dried stains and sends the robot back for repeat passes.

It is our budget pick only because the price fell. Dyson lists it at $1,199, and we tracked it at $849.99 on Oct 19, 2026, the cheapest robot in this guide by about $330.

The weaknesses are real. At 4.33 inches tall it will not fit under many sofas and beds the Roborock clears. Published reviews describe the roller lifting on rugs but dropping early at the rug edge, leaving fringe damp, and stubborn stains still needing a hand finish. The retailer rating of 3.0 across 84 reviews is the lowest here. The dock holds up to 100 days of dry debris, washes the roller in 140°F water and dries it with warm air, so the upkeep side is solid.

Best Value★ 8.2

Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal

Best for: Pet owners with mixed carpet and hard floors on one level who want the base to handle the mop pad for weeks at a time.

The Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal is the all-rounder of the three. It vacuums and mops in one run, adjusts to floor type and debris level as it goes, and uses a UV light to show dried pet accidents and sticky spills that a normal camera passes over. Shark claims up to 3 hours of runtime on bare floors, and the robot recharges and resumes on its own if a large home needs more.

The base does the most work of any dock here. It empties the bin, refills the robot, washes the mop pad with 185°F water and dries it with 175°F air, with HEPA filtration in the base. Shark rates that for up to 60 days without attention. A UK review measured a 2.75 liter clean tank and a 1.5 liter dustbox and found the 60-day figure optimistic.

The drawbacks are noise and polish. Reviewers describe it as louder than rivals, and the UK review reported the app storing only one map, which hurts multi-story homes. At about 4 inches tall it sits between the Roborock and the Dyson. The price has ranged from $749.99 to $1,299.99 in our tracking.
